Greenchoice Energy Award (English)
Each year on September 3rd it is 'Sustainable Tuesday' (in Dutch: "Duurzame Dinsdag"). On this day a wide range of innovative companies and experts gather to kick-off the parliamentary season, but solely focused on sustainable innovations. SpeedComfort was one of the innovations, amongst 521 other ideas, that were bundled and officially presented to Mrs. Stientje van Veldhoven, the Secretary of State for Infrastructure and Water management.
An important moment on Sustainable Tuesday is the recognition of promising innovations. Each year, these will receive an award in six categories: Food, Green, Circular, Social Innovation, Energy, and the overall Sustainable Tuesday price.
We were delighted that SpeedComfort won the Energy Award, offered and handed over by Mr. Evert den Boer, CEO of Greenchoice, a leading, 100% green energy- and sustainability solutions provider in the Netherlands.
"This award is another great acknowledgement that we are on the right track", said Pieter van der Ploeg, CEO of SpeedComfort. "Greenchoice is a renowned, fast growing green energy player in the Benelux market, leading in several areas, so getting the award from them means a lot to us. And winter is coming! We are ready for it".
Sustainable Tuesday precedes "Prinsjesdag" (every third Tuesday in September), the day on which the reigning monarch of the Netherlands addresses a joint session of the Dutch Senate and House of Representatives to give the speech from the throne (Dutch: Troonrede); setting out the main features of government policy for the coming parliamentary session.
